Motivation and Inspiration for Small Business Owners

Here's some inspiration, motivation, and advice for Entrepreneurs, Solopreneurs, and Small Business Owners.

Congratulations on taking steps to start your business and having the courage to continue building your business. Celebrate your progress regardless of how big or how small it is. Be proud of how far you've come. The path of entrepreneurship is rewarding yet challenging. You're most likely cut from a different cloth to pursue entrepreneurship because building a business is not for the faint-hearted. You're learning, working, and growing all at the same time. We hope this blog article will leave you feeling inspired and motivated to continue your business journey.

1. Embrace Self-Advocacy

Here's a thing, you need to advocate for yourself. What does that mean? It means communicating your wants, needs, and desires. Reach out to your ideal clients or customers, charge the right price for your products or services and showcase your strengths. You should be willing to walk away from places you're not appreciated and business deals that don't benefit your vision. Not everyone will know what you want, need, or desire. It's your responsibility to share things that are important to you. It's your responsibility to know when to stay and when to leave. Your well-being and business depend on it.

2. About Your Ideas

It's time to start implementing the ideas that have been on your mind for a long time. It's your responsibility and your calling to see them through. So start putting them into motion. Do it for yourself. Do it for your contentment. Start where you are with what you have. Operate from a place of abundance. You're already enough as is. It's just a matter of time for your ideas and dreams to come true. Remain in alignment with who you are from the inside out. That's where your power lies. Believe, create, do what you know you should do, and let it go of control.

3. Honour Your Calling

Remember that your dreams are valid. Your goals are sacred. Protect your dreams at all costs and nourish them the best way possible. Your ideas are seeds, and they are there for a reason. Water them and believe in them. It doesn't matter where or how you will accomplish your goals and when they will come true. All that matters is that you live in alignment with your dreams and vision. Take baby steps each day and watch your dreams flourish. No matter how big or how small your plans are. You need to take that step and don't give up. When you're called to do something bigger than you, the reward will be more than just monetary value. It's about being responsible with your gifts. It's about being satisfied with yourself and knowing that you're living up to your potential. You can do this! Breathe deeply, believe and create.

4. Focus On What's Important

Prioritize the things that align with your intuition, core values, and goals. Time is a valuable asset that we are so fortunate to have. If you invest it wisely (intuition, core values, and goals), you will have a return on investment (ROI). An ROI can be tangible like money, a cozy home, a good work environment, healthy and emotionally satisfying relationships, or fantastic acquaintances. On the other hand, a return on investment can be intangible like healthy boundaries, peace, improved self-esteem, a calm nervous system, and happiness, to name a few. Not to say you should do everything with the desired outcome in mind. However, we would like to remind you that time is an invaluable asset you have at your disposal. Make it count.

5. Do you experience resistance?

We want you to remember that the resistance to progress will always be massive. Resistance comes in different forms. It can stem from fear, self, relationships, society, or the system. Furthermore, resistance can also be environmental, and it can be rooted in trauma. Here are some examples of resistance that can hinder your progress: procrastination, setting unrealistic expectations, not setting boundaries, not listening to your intuition. Another typical example of resistance is when you're finally living in alignment with who you are. However, loved ones struggle to adjust to this version of you because they hold on to the older narrative of who you once were. The truth is, resistance will always be there without fail. Nothing is as consistent as resistance. But alas, be aware of the forms of resistance in your own life and figure out ways to press forward and overcome resistance.

6. Why prioritizing self-care is essential.

Taking care of yourself is the best thing you can do for your overall well-being. Your mind, body, and spirit will thank you! What is self-care not? Well, self-care is not punishment. Self-care is not a performance. Self-care is simply showering yourself with love, compassion, and appreciation. More importantly, self-care is unique, and it's a lifelong process. When you take care of yourself, you're more likely to make better decisions. In addition, taking care of yourself can be therapeutic and medicinal. What you do for self-care should be unique to you. So make sure that you do what feels right for you.

7. Remember Who You Are

Knowing who you are is a beautiful love story. The story of your life. The story that you get to experience in every scene. Your love story, your life story. You are the main character in YOUR own life. You're living nobody else's life but YOUR own. So let that sink in and empower you to remember who YOU are. Do things that make you feel warm and fuzzy. The things that make your inner child smile. Look at the little girls or boys around you; you'll see your younger self in them. They have that power that we all had when we were young. That power is energy inside you, and energy cannot be destroyed. So tap into your inner child energy and merge it with the wisdom you now have.

8. Befriend Change

Change is natural; change is part of life, and change is part of the human experience. Change can be a chance to learn new things, have a different perspective, evolve, rest, and grow. Embrace it, implement it when necessary, and live in your truth. Change can be a chance to learn new things, have a different perspective, evolve, rest, and grow. Change can be a good thing.

9. Trust Your Intuition

Your intuition is your internal GPS. Trust your intuition whole-heartedly because it will keep you safe and never mislead you. Don't forget your innate superpower. We all have this gift within us. It's there to guide you, teach you, and help you learn about yourself and the world around you. Make it part of your decision-making process. It's more powerful than any search engine, blog article, or tutorial.

10. About lifestyle design

Work-life balance, work-life integration, or a holistic life? We spend a lot of time working to earn a living. But, whether we admit it or not, our work impacts the quality of our lives. As such, what would be a better approach towards business and well-being? Running a business at the cost of your mental or physical health is too high a price to pay. Entrepreneurship is an opportunity to do great work that inspires you and to do work that is an extension of who you are without compromising your well-being. While building your empire, do forget to design a life centered on your well-being.
